How do we get back what we lost at Westgate?

I say a place called Main Street in Toledo would be the ideal location. Look at the name: Main Street. Like a little town except it's close to The Docks and the Marina District if that ever happens. Neighborhoods butt up against Main Street. And this small business district extends up Main and along Starr Ave. Some interesting old buildings line Main and Starr. Vacancies exist there now. When was the last time you heard Main Street being discussed or promoted in the news?

How do the Mud Hens get away with shooting off fireworks during weekend home games? Why are they building a new arena on the west side of the river downtown? What about the additional noise created by people attending 100 to 120 arena events per year where some of these people will patronize bars and restaurants in the Warehouse District or elsewhere downtown?

Environmental reasons to shop at health food stores

(my Sep 2007 comments in a thread about reducing plastic purchases in the home)

I bought my "plastic" reusable water bottle at the Phoenix Earth Food Co-op. It looks like a normal plastic bottle, but it's made of corn (Natureworks), so it's allegedly biodegradable. It also has its own filter, although I fill it up with tap water that's gone through our own filtered pitcher.
